The bridges of both the Amadeus Amethist & Amadeus Aquamarijn have been upgraded and equipped with modern navigation and communications equipment, such as ECDIS and V-SAT for unlimited global internet access.
The Amadeus Amethist & Amadeus Aquamarijn are of the sea-river type, which owes their names to their ability to navigate low bridges along coastal and inland waterways, since these ships can lower their masts and bridges as a whole. Their low air-draft therefore makes them regular traders on the Rhine, the Albert Canal, and other inland waterways.
The Amadeus Amethist & Amadeus Aquamarijn are identical sister vessels.
